Where we are
What we’re working on
An honest picture of where Healing Space UK is today, what comes next, and what we are exploring later. There are no dates: things happen when they are ready and safe, not before.
Now
- Getting ready for a small pilot. Healing Space is not open to the public. Three therapists in private practice have agreed in principle to try it with a few of their clients, who will choose whether to take part. Nothing starts until the work below is done.
- Safety, privacy and legal groundwork. A clinical risk log, a data protection impact assessment, a written agreement with each therapist about their clients’ information, plain-English information for clients, and a professional check of all of it.
- Testing every feature with made-up people, on a test copy, before anyone real uses it.
- Talking instead of typing. Improving how Healing Space knows you have finished speaking, so your words appear quickly and it does not cut you off.
- New hosting in Europe. While the app moves, it is offline, and this website is information only.
Next
- The pilot itself, with the therapists and the clients who choose to take part.
- Learning from them, and changing what does not work for them.
- Talking on phones, as well as on computers.
Later: what we are exploring
Exploring means approved for development, not promised. Each has to pass the same safety and privacy checks before anyone uses it.
- Choosing how Healing Space looks and talks to you: quieter and simpler for people who want less, more structure or more to explore for people who want more. Always your choice, and always reversible.
- Therapists adding their own between-session exercises, with you deciding what, if anything, your therapist sees.
- Understanding what NHS services would need before Healing Space could be used there.
What Healing Space will not do
- Diagnose you, or replace your therapist.
- Act as a crisis service. Nobody is monitored and nobody is alerted. In a crisis, use the contacts at the top of every page.
- Make an automated decision about anyone’s care.
- Share anything with your therapist that you have not chosen to share.
- Show advertising, or sell your data.
About this page
This page summarises our working plan, and it changes when the plan changes. It describes what we are doing, not results we hope for: we have not yet shown that Healing Space improves outcomes. What is and is not in place today is on the Trust Centre, and what has changed recently is on Latest news.
